”Managing to combine my passion for photography and cinema with fashion”
The day I opened the red door of Fashion Workshop, the only thing I knew for sure was my love for photography and cinema.
But always something missing from my life. The substantial knowledge, the history behind a piece of clothing, the research, the sketchbook, the personal identity that I was looking for, so I can ascribe my thoughts through photography and fashion. For two years I was living a magical journey which started with the beginning of the history of art and fashion design and arrived until today.
The garment used as the ultimate reference point of examination through the sketch, the pattern, the sewing, the collage, the fashion marketing and styling.
This whole journey took form and shape through workshops and lectures of our professors. Talented people with huge experience in the fashion industry, generously offered us their knowledge and their secrets.
The process of our final collection was fascinating. I couldn’t describe with words this priceless feeling of watching step by step how your initial idea builds from scratch, changes and transforms in order to bring the most touching graduation I’ve ever lived.
At this point I would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone, but little bit more to Mr. Harris Hourmouzis and Mrs. Genevieve Majari who was always there for me as mentors, supervisors, and my second family.
Nowadays I work next to George Katsanakis, one of my favorite artists and fashion photographers, and I’m learning how to create artistic images that they have always something important to say. A story.
