Vicky Kaya has decided after 20 years of an internationally successful career, to create a unique center about fashion and art in the heart of Athens, in Psirri, the meeting point of young people and new ideas. You can find our premises near the metro station of Monastiraki and just a step from the line 1 station of Thission.
FASHION WORKSHOP by Vicky Kaya is now open for the fourth consecutive year and it is a vibrant venue full of inspiration, creativity and above all knowledge in the heart of Athens. Professionals carefully selected from all relevant industries are given a platform to share their experience and knowledge with younger generations. What makes it unique from all the other similar schools is that the students get in touch with the elite of professionals from the world of Fashion and they learn its secrets from within having practised right next to their teachers whose job and aim is to train them to become future colleagues.
Having completed their academic year, our students have their book ready, a valuable tool which will introduce them to their future employers. The most talented ones will have been selected by notable personages of the fashion business and will gain a working position cooperating with fashion magazines, photographers and designers. The first- and second-year students have already attained their goals next to eminent professionals. Either it is fashion styling, fashion journalism, personal styling or fashion seminars, the specialized curriculum of Fashion Workshop is based on European frameworks and guarantees the certification of the equivalent specialized knowledge.
Apart from in-depth practice during the lessons, the students are deeply involved in different kinds of events that are connected to the world of fashion and actually live the whole experience close to professionals of the fashion sector. Guests from this amazing field talk about their experience, the steps they took, and the secrets of their profession. Visits to museums and galleries with personal guidance, as well as art, fashion and photography exhibitions are an integral part of the workshop and indispensable prerequisite for broadening the students’ horizons. In addition, our students participate in big events in Greece and in this way they get closer to the market, the working conditions and mostly the important figures of fashion, who can figure out the abilities and future prospects for each and every one of the students.
